The Panthers defeated Arlington Bowie 47-43 to advance in the state playoffs.

NEXT UP- Permian vs. #1 Denton Guyer, 8PM Friday Wilkerson-Greines Activity Center in Ft Worth.

Denton Guyer 58, Permian 48 Final. Permian's historic season comes to an end vs the #1 team in the state.

Odessa Permian and Odessa High took four of the five superlative awards on the District 2-6A All-District Boys Basketball Team just released.

Permian took home Player of the Year (Javorian Miller), Defensive Player of the Year (Elijah White) and Coach of the Year (Tim Thomas). Odessa High’s Isaac Hernandez was named Defensive Player of the Year.

Midland High and Lee were shut out in getting first team recognition.

MHS’ Jordan Riley and Rayshad Chambers were named to second team as well as Lee’s Zhuric Phelps.
