MRT-

Here’s a look at Friday’s District 2-6A games:

Midland High (1-7, 0-3) vs. Lee (8-0, 3-0), 7:30 p.m., Grande Communications Stadium

Lee hasn’t scored fewer than 55 points since Sept. 5, and the Bulldogs haven’t scored in double digits since Sept. 28. A lot would have to go right for MHS to hang around in this one.

Lee 63, MHS 10

Permian (5-3, 3-0) at Frenship (6-2, 2-1), 7:30 p.m., Peoples Bank Stadium

Two contrasting styles clash, as the Tigers and QB Donovan Smith like to air it out down field, while the Panthers will pound it on the ground with their veer offense. Permian’s defense will get enough stops to win this.

Permian 28, Frenship 24

Tascosa (5-3, 1-2) at OHS (2-6, 0-3), 7:30 p.m., Ratliff Stadium

It’s a game both teams need to win. I expect the Rebels to take out their frustrations on the Bronchos after two tough losses in league play. They’ll ride their triple-option offense to victory.

Tascosa 42, OHS 14

Hopefully we'll try to hit 85 or 80 deep, because Hirschi burned the Frenship CB #18 several times on deep balls.

On defense I firmly believe we have to send the heat to disrupt the QB. Can't let him sit back there and pick us apart.

May just be the competition we played, but looks like #40 is not the only one who knows how to blitz..lb's looking kicker and blitzing with a purpose..

Yeah, we need to throw the ball occasionally. The defense played a pretty good game, but the offense did not deliver.

With 25 likely to sit, and 2 out again as well, we may struggle again vs Lee.
